We want to strengthen the region’s existing cluster and promote innovative start-ups. We launched the initiative with the idea of bringing 100 companies to Baselland. Thereby, we hope to increase the attractiveness of the region and bring about added value for the national economy.

We offer holistic support on several levels: BLKB provides debt capital of CHF 100,000 - CHF 500,000 with a maximum term of three years to finance the next step in development. In cooperation with our partners, we also offer coaching and mentoring across all relevant areas in addition to support in finding suitable premises.

Since the initiative was launched, 37 startups have successfully participated, and been supported financially with more than CHF 13 million. They come from a wide range of sectors, including fintech, medtech or pharma, and have created  over 120 new jobs in the last three years.
